Debido a estas condiciones, los pilotos aprovecharon para probar los compuestos de lluvia. Allí el más rápido fue James Calado (ART Grand Prix) con 1:50.928, seguido por Daniel de Jong (MP Motorsport) y Simon Trummer (Rapax).
En la tarde la pista se secó totalmente, permitiendo las pruebas de todo el rango de neumáticos Pirelli para esta condición. Allí Stefano Coletti (Rapax) registró 1:29.868, seguido por Felipe Nasr (Carlin) y Robin Frijns (Trident).
En cuanto a los pilotos iberoamericanos, el colombiano Julián Leal logró el 5º y 19º tiempo, el brasilero Felipe Nasr fue 8 y 2º. Los venezolanos Johnny Cecotto y Rodolfo González establecieron el 13º y 5º - 14º y 22º tiempo respectivamente.
Mañana continuará la sesión de pruebas en el Circuit de Catalunya, en la cual se pronostica mal clima nuevamente.
